History
Atlanta developer Thomas G. Cousins developed Indian Hills Country Club Estates. Cousins hired noted golf course architect Joe Lee to design the initial 18-hole golf course. Real estate sales began in 1969 and the course opened for play in the fall of 1969. In 1972, Cousins acquired 300 additional acres adjacent to the original development and constructed a third nine-hole course, also designed by Joe Lee. The club was purchased by a local private club management company in 1978.
Over $4 million in improvements and renovations were completed in 2003, including a beautiful new clubhouse. In 2009, an all new swim complex was built to include a Junior Olympic-sized competition pool, an adult only pool and a kiddie pool with mushroom water features. Indian Hills Country Club is the best family golf value in metro Atlanta!
